Founded in the 18th century under the leadership of Lala Kamlapatji and his father Lala Juggilalji, the JK Organisation has grown into a major conglomerate with a workforce of over 40,000 and a global presence spanning over 90 countries. The company is valued at Rs 21,000 crore, with interests in various sectors such as tyres, cement, paper, healthcare, and more.

While JK Tyre & Industries remains the flagship business, other key ventures under the JK umbrella include Fenner India, JK Seeds, Umang Dairies, and JK Agri Genetics. Investments in Expansion

JK Tyre is committed to continuous growth, as evidenced by its recent investment of INR 1,430 crore to expand capacity for truck, bus, and car radial tyres at its Chennai plant. This expansion is set to enhance the company's production capabilities over the next 15 months.

Alongside its tyre business, the JK Organisation is also expanding its cement and paper operations. The JK Lakshmi Cement business announced a Rs 1,550 crore expansion plan involving the establishment of a Greenfield project in Durg, Chhattisgarh. The JK Paper business recently completed a Rs 1,750 crore expansion in Rayagada, Orissa, adding 60% to its production capacity.
