Discover Mahindra's groundbreaking INGLO platform, debuting with the BE 6e and XEV 9e electric SUVs on November 26, 2024.
In a bold move to redefine electric mobility, Mahindra has unveiled its all-electric INGLO platform, a cutting-edge architecture developed to underpin its upcoming electric SUVs, the BE 6e and XEV 9e. This innovation marks a significant leap in Mahindra's EV journey, showcasing a platform designed with an "Electric Origin" philosophy. The INGLO platform will debut alongside these SUVs on November 26, 2024, promising a blend of advanced technology, performance, and sustainability.
At the heart of the INGLO platform lies its groundbreaking skateboard structure, a hallmark of modern electric vehicle (EV) architecture. Designed to be ultra-lightweight yet robust, the platform minimises vehicle weight while enhancing agility and stability. The flat-floor design eliminates the central tunnel found in traditional vehicles, thereby maximising cabin space and offering unparalleled flexibility in seating arrangements. This innovation ensures enhanced passenger comfort and versatility, catering to diverse customer needs.

The platform’s modularity is another standout feature, enabling Mahindra to seamlessly adapt the INGLO architecture across various vehicle models. Whether it’s the sporty and dynamic BE 6e or the sophisticated and luxurious XEV 9e, the INGLO platform guarantees consistent quality, safety, and performance across the lineup.
The INGLO platform is engineered to house two battery pack configurations: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. Utilising advanced Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery chemistry, the platform offers exceptional durability, safety, and efficiency. LFP batteries are renowned for their enhanced thermal stability and longer lifecycle, making them a robust choice for electric vehicles.
Mahindra has also incorporated fast-charging technology into the INGLO platform. With a 175 kW DC fast charger, the battery can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes, addressing range anxiety and making long-distance travel more practical. This impressive charging speed is complemented by the platform’s promise of best-in-class range and efficiency, ensuring the BE 6e and XEV 9e deliver unmatched performance in their segment.
The INGLO platform integrates a compact three-in-one powertrain, combining the motor, inverter, and transmission into a single unit. This design allows for power outputs ranging from 170 kW to 210 kW (231-286 hp) in rear-wheel-drive configurations, ensuring a dynamic and responsive driving experience.
Advanced features such as semi-active suspension, brake-by-wire technology, and high-power steering further enhance the SUVs' handling and performance. Intelligent drive modes allow drivers to adapt their vehicle's behaviour to suit various terrains and conditions, making the INGLO-based SUVs as versatile as they are powerful.
Safety is a top priority in the INGLO platform. The low placement of the battery pack contributes to a lower centre of gravity, enhancing stability and reducing the risk of rollover, a common challenge in traditional SUVs. The platform’s structure, built using ultra high-strength boron steel, integrates the battery into the underbody, creating a protective cage around the passenger cabin.
In addition to structural safety, the platform incorporates sophisticated battery and thermal management systems. These systems are designed to maintain peak battery performance across diverse climate conditions and terrains, ensuring reliable power delivery and a prolonged battery lifespan.
The BE 6e and XEV 9e are poised to become benchmarks in the EV segment, combining INGLO's advanced platform capabilities with Mahindra’s vision for future mobility. These SUVs are not just vehicles; they are a statement of Mahindra's commitment to sustainability, innovation, and performance.
The upcoming Unlimit India event on November 26th 2024, will serve as the launchpad for these Electric Origin SUVs, marking a new chapter in India's EV revolution. With their dynamic designs, spacious interiors, and cutting-edge technology, the BE 6e and XEV 9e are set to lead Mahindra’s charge into a new era of sustainable transportation.
The INGLO platform exemplifies Mahindra's dedication to crafting EVs that cater to the evolving needs of consumers while addressing environmental challenges. By integrating advanced battery technology, superior safety features, and high-performance capabilities into a single platform, Mahindra is setting the stage for a future where electric vehicles are not just practical but also aspirational.
With the BE 6e and XEV 9e, Mahindra is not merely participating in the electric mobility race but it’s leading it, charting a path for India and the world towards a greener, more sustainable future.
