CEAT Limited was founded in 1924 in Turin, Italy as a manufacturer of cables for telephones and railways. It is a prominent player in the global tyre manufacturing industry. As of now, the company is headquartered in Mumbai and has operated as a subsidiary of the RPG Group since 1981. CEAT has established itself as one of India’s largest tyre manufacturers, producing a wide range of tyres for various vehicles including passenger cars, two-wheelers, trucks, and buses.

CEAT's journey began in 1958 when it was rebranded from its original Italian roots to focus on the Indian market.
