the Yulu Wynn an affordable solution for both service mobility and short-distance commutes.
Design and Look
Ola Gig
The Ola Gig is designed specifically for deliveries, so it comes with a high payload capacity. It features an electric motor that offers decent torque for urban deliveries. Further, the scooter is equipped with a digital screen that shows the rider's speed, battery status, and other important metrics. Additionally, it comes with features like a smartphone app for locking/unlocking and accessing vehicle information through your smartphone.
On the other hand, Ola Gig+ comes with much more payload capacity than the standard version and includes a larger instrument cluster.
Yulu Wynn
The Yulu Wynn focuses on ease of use and practicality. It comes with a simple digital display for basic information such as battery status and speed. The scooter is equipped with a lightweight motor and a low-maintenance design to ensure durability over repeated use in urban environments. It also offers features like GPS tracking and remote locking via a mobile app, making it ideal for personal use.
Ola Gig
The Ola Gig is powered by a 1.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is known for its long life and efficiency. It takes approximately 4-5 hours for a full charge using a standard 5A socket. Ola also offers fast charging options at select locations, which can reduce charging time to around 2 hours.
On the other hand, the Gig+ scooter features dual removable batteries of 1.5 kWh each which means it will take longer to fully charge both batteries.
Yulu Wynn
The Yulu Wynn is also powered by a 0.98 kWh lithium-ion battery, but it is slightly smaller compared to the Ola Gig. It has a charging time of approximately 5-6 hours to reach a full charge. The scooter can also be charged at any standard 5A socket, providing convenience for users who need to recharge quickly during the day.
Range
Ola Gig
The Ola Gig offers a range of 112 kilometers on a full charge, making it ideal for local deliveries within a city. Its range is configured to cater to the needs of delivery agents who typically make several stops throughout the day. Additionally, Ola Gig goes to the top speed up to 25km/h.
While, the Gig+ offers an impressive range of 157 km on a full dual battery charge and delivers enhanced power, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 45 km/h.
Yulu Wynn
The Yulu Wynn offers a range of approximately 65 kilometers on a single charge. This range is suitable for short urban commutes and is perfect for city dwellers who require a vehicle for everyday use. In addition, Wynn has a similar speed limit of 25 km/h to the Ola gig standard variant.
Ola Gig
The Ola Gig offers a comfortable ride with a focus on stability and handling, especially under load. The larger wheels and a more durable frame ensure a smooth ride even when carrying packages or delivering goods. The scooter is designed for day-long usage, so it offers a comfortable seating posture for delivery riders.
Yulu Wynn
The Yulu Wynn offers a nimble and lightweight riding experience, making it ideal for city traffic and tight spaces. The scooter's compact design makes it easy to navigate through congested streets, and it provides a smooth ride for short commutes. However, it is not as suitable for carrying heavy loads as the Ola Gig, as it is designed more for individual riders.
Ola Gig
The Ola Gig is equipped with a powerful hub motor of 250 W compared to the Yulu Wynn. It provides decent torque for swift acceleration and handling, which is crucial for reliable and safe deliveries. The scooter is built for durability and can handle heavier loads and longer hours of operation without compromising on performance.
Yulu Wynn
The Yulu Wynn, with its smaller motor, is best suited for lighter, everyday use. It offers enough power for urban rides. The scooter’s performance is optimized for speed limits in urban areas and is well-suited for shared mobility services.
Both the Ola Gig and the Yulu Wynn have their unique strengths, making them suitable for different purposes. The Ola Gig is more suited for those looking for a cost-effective solution for daily use, especially for gig workers, with a higher payload capacity, longer range, and better durability for heavier tasks. Comparatively, the Yulu Wynn is an urban scooter, suitable for local commuting and personal uses.
However, both scooters except the Gig+ variant share mostly the same specifications in terms of speed, braking, battery capacity, and specific features such as low maintenance costs. Choosing between these two scooters depends on your needs—whether you’re looking for an affordable commercial-purpose vehicle or a cool-looking scooter for personal use.
